WHAT IS RAKE?

Rake is the amount of money that the poker room takes from the pot every time a hand is played. This, along with tournament fees, is how they make their money.

HOW IS RAKE CALCULATED?

Most poker rooms will usually take between 0 and 5% of each pot and around 5% of tournament buyins. This is then attributed accordingly to each player in line with his / her activity. Exact percentages / amounts can usually be found on the operators website however we have full details here. The two contribution methods employed by the poker rooms are Dealt and Contributed.

WHAT ARE THE DEALT AND CONTRIBUTED METHODS?

These are the two methods by which a player’s portion of rake is calculated. The dealt method takes the total rake for the pot, which is then divided by the number of players dealt into the hand. For example if the pot rake is $1.00 and 10 players are dealt in, each player will earn $0.10 for the hand. The contributed method divides it by those players that contributed to the pot. For example, if the pot rake is $5.00, 10 players are dealt in and 5 players contribute, each contributing player will earn $1.00 for the hand. There is a further contributed method, called Weighted Contributed, where the MGR that you earn is dependent on how much you contribute to the pot. Details of which rooms use which method can be found on our rakeback deals page.

WHAT IS RAKEBACK?

Rakeback is the portion of the rake that is given back to you either by the poker room or a rakeback website. Here at Rakeback-World.com we strive to list all the deals available to ensure you the player can find the option that's best for you.

HOW IS RAKEBACK CALCULATED?

Rakeback is calculated by taking your MGR (Monthly Gross Rake) less any bonuses and charges. Multiply this total by your deal percentage to get your rakeback figure. For example, MGR=$800, bonuses=$50, deal rate=30%; rakeback = (800-50)*30% = $225.
Charges differ from poker room to poker room and we have full details on our rakeback deals page.

HOW MUCH RAKEBACK CAN I EARN?

There are many variables that determine how much you can earn in Rakeback. It depends on the rake structure of the poker room, whether it is a 6 or 10 seater table, how many people are contesting the pot, whether you’re playing limit or no-limit, all manner of things.

We have come up with a rough average based on real figures over the last couple of years. For a $1/$2 no limit 6 seater table a player will typically generate around $0.15 or £0.08 in rake for a single hand played. From this figure you can work out how many hands you play on average and get a rake total estimation. Then just apply the percentage of the rakeback deal you are on to get your rakeback payment.

Read some real life examples to get an idea of how much rakeback you could earn.

DO I HAVE TO PLAY A MINIMUM NUMBER OF HANDS EACH MONTH?

No. None of the rakeback deals that we offer require any minimum play to qualify for rakeback.

HOW IS MY RAKEBACK PAID TO ME?

Almost all of the rakeback deals that we offer pay your rakeback directly into your poker account. For those poker rooms that don't pay this way we will pay you by Neteller or bank transfer.

WHEN DO I GET PAID?

All rakeback payments that are paid directly into your poker account will usually be made within the first week of the following month. Manual rakeback payments made by us, will be made on or before the 15th of the following month.

IS THERE A MINIMUM PAYMENT?

Yes. Our minimum rakeback payment is £25. If your rakeback is less than this it will be rolled over each month until the total payment due exceeds £25. This only applies to manual rakeback payments and not those that are paid directly into your poker account.

DOES IT MATTER WHICH GAME OF POKER I PLAY?

No. You can play Limit, No-limit, Omaha, Stud, etc. It makes no difference and all will count towards your rakeback.

DO TOURNAMENTS COUNT TOWARDS MY RAKEBACK?

Generally yes. We list whether each poker room count tournament play towards rakeback on our rakeback deals page.

WILL I LOSE OUT IN BONUSES OR OTHER OFFERS IF I RECEIVE RAKEBACK?

Again this differs by each poker room. Some deduct bonuses from your mgr before calculating your rakeback and some don't. We list which rooms adopt which method on our rakeback deals page.

CAN I GET RAKEBACK ON MY EXISTING POKER ACCOUNT?

Usually no. In order to get rakeback from RakebackDeals UK you must register a new account with the operator using the links on our signup pages. If you already have an account with say Pokerplex, you cannot just set up a new account with them using a different name. You can contact the poker room directly and ask them to switch your account to us but this is quite rare and usually only done for high volume players.

If you play on a network with several skins you could open a new poker account with a different skin and continue to play with the same poker software and players. For example if you already have a Littlewoods Poker account, you could open a new account with William Hill to receive rakeback and still play on the same network against the same players, and in most cases with the same username if you wish. The only difference will be the look and feel of the poker room.

HOW DO I KNOW HOW MUCH RAKEBACK I HAVE EARNED?

You can log into our members area at any time to see how much rake you have generated and your rakeback total. Other information such as hands played and money wagered may also be displayed depending on the poker room. A history of your rakeback payments will be kept each month.

WHY DO I NEED TO CLEAR COOKIES ON MY PC?
